Ski In Chamonix To Raise Funds for MS Charity
Published : 09-Oct-2013 09:08
The MS Trust's Monster Ski challenge is back this winter after taking 2013 off and will be taking place in Chamonix for the first time next March 16-20, 2014
The MS Trust fundraiser aims to raise money for the charity that trains specialist nurses and provides information for people living with multiple sclerosis.
For each of the three days of the challenge, participants will attempt to ski 30,000 vertical feet – that's the equivalent of the height of Mount Everest every day!
The charity is looking for 25 skiers and snowboarders to take part. To get involved you can register now for £150 but you must pledge to raise £1,500 in sponsorship.
In exchange for the fund raising participants receive flights and transfers, accommodation (bed and breakfast), a three day lift pass and ski guides who will lead small groups during the challenge.
The MS Trust will also provide lots of support and advice to help you raise your sponsorship, as well as putting you in touch with other Monster Skiers so you can share fundraising ideas.
This will be the MS Trust's sixth Monster Ski challenge since the first staged in January 2008 in Colorado. The combined total income from the previous five events is over £385,000 to help fund the MS Trust's work.
