Sandwiched between Engelberg and Hasliberg's ski areas, Frutt is a high altitude holiday village by the Melchsee Lake, reached by cable car from Stöckalp in the valley below. Skiing for all standards on pistes up to eight kilometres (five miles) long.


The Swiss ski resort of Melchsee-Frutt is in the Swiss Alps at an altitude of 1,080m, with 32km of marked runs.

Melchsee-Frutt has direct access to 32km of downhill skiing, with 13 marked pistes, served by a total of 10 ski lifts.

With ski lifts as high as 2,255m, snow cover is generally reliable.


There are a variety of pistes to suit all levels of skier ability, from Beginner to Expert.


Melchsee-Frutt offers some good boarding and there is a Snow Park in Melchsee-Frutt.

 By Air

The nearest airport to Melchsee-Frutt is Zurich, 88 minutes drive away.

Berne, Basel, Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg, Lugano, St. Gallen-Altenrhein, Milan Malpensa and Friedrichshafen airports are all within three hours drive.
