Beckenried

Lakeside Beckenried is a small settlement in the canton of Nidwalden, one of the three forest states where Switzerland was founded. A cable car rises up to the ski area on Klewenalp, from where there are spectacular views.

 By Air

The nearest airport to Beckenried is Zurich, 62 minutes drive away.

Basel, Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg, Lugano, Berne, St. Gallen-Altenrhein, Friedrichshafen, Milan Malpensa, Strasbourg and Milan Linate airports are all within three hours drive.

Zurich is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.
