Have you ever wanted to own your own chairlift? This might apply only to our Australian readers, but now you have a chance thanks to the latest major upgrade at Perisher ski resort.
The old Mt Perisher double chair is being replaced with a new six-seater chairlift. The old lift was Perisher's first ever chairlift and opened in 1961.
On 08 June, an auction will take place at Perisher itself allowing fans to buy one of the old, original chairs for themselves.
And if you can't make that, there's an online auction the following day on 09 June.
All proceeds from the sale of the chairs will go to organisations that make a difference in the community, for the environment, and for youth.
