New Zealand Ski Area Extends Season Past Mid-October

Cardrona Alpine Resort has confirmed that its winter operations will run an extra week this year, pushing the final day of the season out to Sunday, 18 October.
The move follows a stretch of strong mid‑season snowfall and consistently favourable conditions that have kept the mountain, which is now the country's largest ski srea, in excellent shape. Resort officials say the decision reflects both the solid snowpack and the ongoing demand from skiers and riders eager to stretch out their time on the slopes.
