Riederalp

Riederalp is a picturesque ski resort in the Swiss Alps. It offers a unique combination of stunning views and well-groomed slopes.

 Summary

Nestled in the Valais region, Riederalp is part of the Aletsch Arena, boasting access to over 100 kilometers of ski runs. Its family-friendly atmosphere and varied terrain make it an ideal destination for skiers and snowboarders alike.

The ski area of Riederalp is in the Swiss Alps at an altitude of 1,930m, with 30km of marked runs.

Riederalp is part of the Aletsch ski area with access to 104km of downhill skiing, with 49 marked pistes, served by a total of 23 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Riederalp itself (30km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Aletsch ski resorts of Bettmeralp and Fiescheralp.

The ski resort itself is at 1,930m, so skiing or boarding back to the resort is usually possible. With ski lifts as high as 2,900m, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season.

Skiing

The Riederalp ski area is anchored by the Aletsch Glacier, reaching elevations of up to 2,925 meters. Key lifts include the Riederalp Gondola and Moosfluh Cable Car, providing access to notable pistes like the challenging Moosfluh run and the scenic Panorama route.

Riederalp offers good sking, particularly, for Intermediate and Beginner skiers.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Riederalp is Sion, 90 minutes drive away.

Geneva, Basel and Lugano airports are all within three hours drive.

Traveling to Riederalp is convenient via nearby airports such as Bern and Geneva, followed by scenic train journeys and a short cable car ride. The resort is well-connected, making access simple and enjoyable.
