The ski area of Silbertal is in the Austrian Alps at an altitude of 900m, with 5km of marked runs.

Silbertal is part of the Silvretta Montafon ski area with access to 141km of downhill skiing, with 44 marked pistes, served by a total of 59 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Silbertal itself (5km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Silvretta Montafon ski resorts of Gargellen, Gaschurn, Schruns, St Gallenkirch and Tschagguns.

The skiing is at relatively low altitude, so snow cover can be variable.

Skiing

Silbertal is surrounded by the stunning Verwall mountains, with an elevation ranging from 1,000 to 2,300 meters. The ski area includes notable pistes such as the wide runs of the Silvretta Montafon area, served by efficient lifts like the Zamangbahn and the Hochjochbahn.

Silbertal offers good sking, particularly, for Intermediate skiers.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Silbertal is St. Gallen-Altenrhein, 53 minutes drive away.

Friedrichshafen, Innsbruck Airport, Memmingen, Zurich, Munich, Lugano, Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg, Basel and Stuttgart airports are all within three hours drive.

St. Gallen-Altenrhein is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

To reach Silbertal, the nearest major airports are Innsbruck and Friedrichshafen, both approximately 90 minutes away by car. You can also reach the resort via train to Bludenz, followed by a short bus ride.

The three ski lifts are able to uplift 1,515 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Season Dates

When is Silbertal open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is early December, and usual closing is Mid April.

NOTE:- Ski area, lift and piste opening is subject to Current Snow Conditions.

Aprés Ski

After a day on the slopes, enjoy the cozy atmosphere at local bars like Gasthof Zamang and the trendy Montafon Mountain Lodge. For dining, don't miss the traditional Tyrolean cuisine available at several restaurants in the village.
