The ski area of Scheffau am Wilden Kaiser is in the Austrian Alps at an altitude of 750m, with 46km of marked runs.

Scheffau am Wilden Kaiser is part of the SkiWelt area with access to 288km of downhill skiing, with 186 marked pistes, served by a total of 90 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Scheffau am Wilden Kaiser itself (46km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other SkiWelt ski resorts of Brixen im Thale, Ellmau, Going am Wilden Kaiser, Hopfgarten im Brixental, Itter, Kelchsau, Söll and Westendorf.

The resort features the impressive Wilder Kaiser mountain range, with slopes ranging from 620 to 1,960 meters in elevation. Notable ski areas include the Brandstadl and the Scheffau area, accessible via lifts like the Brandstadlbahn and the 6-seater chairlift, offering well-groomed pistes such as the blue runs for beginners and challenging red runs for advanced skiers.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Scheffau am Wilden Kaiser is Innsbruck Airport, 56 minutes drive away.

Munich, Salzburg, Bolzano, Linz and Memmingen airports are all within three hours drive.

Innsbruck Airport is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

Scheffau am Wilden Kaiser is easily accessible via major airports like Innsbruck and Salzburg, both within a 90-minute drive. Regular train services and shuttle buses connect these airports to the resort, making travel straightforward.
