150cm New Snow and 10 New Trails As Waterville Valley Celebrates 50 Years

It's a big season for Waterville Valley ski resort in New Hampshire which is celebrating 50 years of skiing this winter.
The resort has added 10 brand new trails on the 45-acre Green Peak Expansion. The new runs, initially simply numbered 51 to 60, were finally named yesterday, Saturday 25th February, after 550+ entries were received in a run naming competition.

As an added bonus 2016/17 is also going down in the history books as a season of awesome snow for the region. Although most international media coverage of the North American
Waterville Valley has picked up just shy of 150cm (Five feet) of snow so far this month alone, and at another New Hampshire ski area, Cannon, 6.5 feet – that's just about 200cm - has fallen in February and base depths are up to 125cm. Total season snowfall to date is already in excess of 50cm over the mountain's annual average accumulation.
The two resorts and three others share a 5-Mountain Ski Passport joint lift ticket.
