Another big Snow Storm rolling in...

Another big Snow Storm rolling in...

Published : 09-Nov-2016 09:40

A week after the first decent snows of the winter gripped The Alps, another major snowfall is getting under way.

As usual, the exact track and resulting accumulations are a little unclear BUT this is going to bring some big falls to a good area of the Swiss and French Alps. In particular, the Northern French Alps - including the Chamonix Valley, The Grand Massif and The Aravis / Lake Annecy Resorts are in line for significant snowfall to quite low level.

It's started snowing to village level in La Clusaz and the snowline is coming down in the Chamonix valley. The webcam shots below are just the start (snapped in the last few minutes) and both locations are looking at anywhere from 50cm to a metre of new snow over the next 48 hours - and it's cold too.
