Austria's Stubai Glacier is aiming to open for its autumn glacier ski season any day now and is looking forwards to unveiling some new lifts for 2012-13.
The Stubai Glacier has invested about 12 million Euros in two new chairlifts, an eight-seater chairlift, Rotadl and the quad chairlift, Daunjoch.
The resort now has 26 cable cars and lifts operating on Austria's largest glacier ski area.
The Rotadl chairlift will have heated seats and a pull down weather-protection hood.
The Stubai Glacier also plans to unveil a new black slope "Daunhill" which is scheduled for completion by mid November, if not earlier.
And finally a new chapel has been built anchored in ice and rock, the Chapel Schaufeljoch
The total investment in the summer of 2012 is approximately 15 million euros.
