The Private Ski Area was newly opened fo the 1998 - 1999 season in Moscow. It is a closed ski area run by the Russian government and only used by staff from the larger banks - the new wealthy rather than political elite of the communist era. Pricing includes a cup of coffee at twenty times the cost of a litre of petrol. Luxurious facilities include indoor and outdoor pools, sauna and indoor tennis courts. The lift crosses a river, horizontally at the bottom and has a base station at the bottom of the ski hill and a final station at the top of the hill.

The Russian ski resort of Loujki is at an altitude of 210m.

Loujki has direct access to 2 marked pistes, served by a single ski lift.

The skiing is at relatively low altitude, so snow cover can be variable.

There is skiing to suit a range of abilities.
