The ski area of Champoluc is in the Italian Alps at an altitude of 1,600m, with 70km of marked runs.

Champoluc is part of the Monterosa ski area with access to 213km of downhill skiing, with 64 marked pistes, served by a total of 52 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Champoluc itself (70km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Monterosa ski resorts of Alagna Valsesia, Antagnod, Brusson, Champorcher, Gressoney Saint Jean and Gressoney la Trinité.

The ski resort itself is at 1,600m, so skiing or boarding back to the resort is usually possible. With ski lifts as high as 3,550m, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season.

Skiing

The Monterosa Ski area features peaks reaching elevations of 2,800 meters, with notable areas including the slopes of Crest and the challenging trails of Salati. Key lifts such as the Monterosa Ski Gondola and the Bettaforca Chairlift provide access to a range of pistes, including the scenic blue runs and thrilling red descents.

There are a variety of pistes to suit all levels of skier ability, from Beginner to Expert.

Snowboarding

Snowboarding in Champoluc is enhanced by well-maintained slopes and the presence of terrain parks. The resort features dedicated areas for freestyle enthusiasts, allowing for diverse riding experiences.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Champoluc is Turin Caselle, 84 minutes drive away.

Milan Malpensa, Milan Linate, Turin Cuneo, Sion, Genoa, Geneva, Bergamo, Lugano and Annecy airports are all within three hours drive.

Champoluc is accessible via major airports such as Turin and Milan. From these points, travelers can take a train or shuttle bus to reach the resort conveniently.

The 10 ski lifts are able to uplift 21,200 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Snow-making is available, on 27km of ski runs, with 518 snow cannons.

Season Dates

When is Champoluc open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is late November (Opens when snow cover adequate in late Nov or early Dec), and usual closing is Late April.

After a day on the slopes, enjoy the lively après-ski scene at bars like La Grange and the local pizzeria, Da Andrea. For nightlife, check out the nearby nightclubs offering a relaxed atmosphere.
