Located near the egde of Lake Wanaka, Mt Gold Glamping is set on a private farm. There are 2 private campsites with tents on offer, which are accessible by foot. Free private parking is available on site.
Important Information
This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties. A damage deposit of NZD 250 is required. The host charges this 7 days before arrival. This will be collected by credit card. You should be reimbursed within 7 days of check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full via credit card, subject to an inspection of the property. Note that smoking is strictly prohibited at this property. You will be fined $500 if there is any evidence of cigarettes having been smoked on site. This is non-negotiable due the extreme fire risk in place all summer in Central Otago. All guests need to have a moderate level of fitness as you are required to walk 5-10 minutes to your camp site, over uneven terrain uphill. Access to Mt Gold is especially steep. Mt Gold Glamping Site (Tent, Sleeps 3, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom)
This tent is located atop a steep hill, a 10-minute walk from the carpark. The tent features 180 degree views across the lake from Treble Cone to Mt Gold. The beach is a 20-minute walk away. The tent is nestled amongst wilding pines which provides shelter. Please note that a moderate level of fitness is required to walk to the camp site, over uneven terrain.
Wilding Pines Family Campsite (Tent, Sleeps 6, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom)
This site consists of 2 large tents (one dome tent and 1 lotus belle tent) each with a queen bed and one sofa bed (sleeping 6 guests in total), plus there is a tree hammock tent for the kids. The tents are nestled in amongst a sheltering grove of wilding pines, and are a 5-minute walk up hill from the carpark. There are views across the lake to the peninsula and Mt Gold. Please note that a moderate level of fitness is required to walk to the campsite, over uneven terrain. Please note that the maximum occupancy is 6 guests. Please note that when booking for 3 guests, you will have access to 1 tent only.

This double room features a kitchenware, electric kettle and barbecue.

When you book this room you are booking the Wilding Pines campsite but only have access to 1 tent. Maximum occupancy is 3 guests.
