Treble Cone
The southern hemisphere's first six-seater detachable chair opened at Treble Cone in 1996, a major coup. New Zealand's biggest ski area in terms of skiable terrain ( 550 hectares) , off-slope facilities are in the town of Wanaka.

How to get there
By Air
The nearest airport to Treble Cone is Wanaka, 39 minutes drive away.
Queenstown airport is also within three hours drive.
Wanaka is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

The four ski lifts are able to uplift 4,500 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Snow-making is available, with 30 snow cannons.
Season Dates
When is Treble Cone open?
We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.
Usual opening is Late June, and usual closing is Late September.
NOTE:- Ski area, lift and piste opening is subject to Current Snow Conditions.

We don't yet have specific details of the COVID-19 precautions being taken in Treble Cone, but they are likely to include most of the following :-
- Face masks required on lifts, and in shops.
- Social distancing in public areas.
- Reduced lift capacity.
