Snow Storm Brings Nearly 90cm (3 Feet) of Snow To Aussie Slopes

Australian ski areas are hailing what some are saying is the biggest early-season snow storm in the country for 18 years.
Most of the country's leading areas have reported 80-90cm of snow fall over the past six days, completely transforming conditions soon after a largely snowless opening weekend a fortnight ago.
Two weeks ago Australian media were publishing images of over-crowded slopes with limited snow cover and most areas could only stretch to open part of one run, now base depths are several feet deep across the country and resorts are scrambling to open additional terrain ready for next weekend.
Perisher, Thredbo, Mt Hotham and Falls Creek have all reported 80-85cm of snow totals from the storm.
Weather conditions have now settled down and blue skies have re-appeared, however so far temperatures are remaining low which is good news for preserving the snow.
